Urbano Cardinale began with one question. What does a bag
actually need to do?

Lili Alberti spent years working with leather in Italy before
she had an answer. The answer was not more pockets, more
structure, more hardware. The answer was less. A bag that
opens fully, holds everything, and gets out of the way.

The leather is full-grain bull leather from Italy. It is called
Legato. It is semi-matte, naturally grained, and it becomes
softer with every year of use. The colors are saturated and
precise. Walnut, Ivory, Indigo, Sapphire, Saffron, Spice,
Red, Lime, Daisy. They are chosen to work together, so a
wallet and a bag from different pieces of the collection
sit well side by side.

The zippers move like nothing else. This was not an accident.
Lili tested hardware for a long time before finding what she
wanted. Smooth, quiet, and built to last.

The inside of each wallet is lined with smooth leather in a
contrasting color. The stitching on the outside repeats that
color. It is a small detail. It is the kind of detail that
the person carrying the piece notices every day.

Nothing here is made with harmful adhesives. Nothing here
has a chemical smell. The dyes are safe. The materials
are chosen with care.

Urbano Cardinale launched its first capsule collection in
Los Angeles in January 2025. The pieces are unisex. They
are made for people who carry things that matter.
